Summer School Information
For the summer of 2010, Avon High School will not be offering courses for high school credit. However, students may take high school courses for credit this summer through the Indiana Online Academy program (IOA).  The cost to the student for IOA summer courses is $50 per course.   The normal fee for IOA courses during the school year is $275 per course.   For a list of available courses this summer and  registration information, go to www.indianaonlineacademy.org. More information about IOA will be available in the guidance office later this spring. Online registration for summer IOA courses does not begin until after April 12.

Teaching the students of today to meet the challenges of tomorrow

Mission Statement

The mission of the Avon High School staff is excellence in instruction and learning for all students. It is our responsibility to help students reach their full potential and master challenging curricula. Students will be taught the importance of academic excellence, critical thinking, and communication skills required for the 21st century. In addition, our staff will foster an environment of personal integrity, responsibility, empathy for others, and respect for cultural diversity. In a collaborative effort with colleagues, students, parents, and the community, the Avon High School staff will monitor student achievement through state and local assessments and respond with a systemic plan of intervention to meet the needs of students who are failing to meet rigorous standards.
